Be Our Guests

The Massachusetts Network of Physicians and Friends of THE ARNOLD P. GOLD FOUNDATION invites you to be our guests

JEROME GROOPMAN, MD, and PAMELA HARTZBAND, MD, are on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and on the staff of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, both in Boston. They have collaborated on articles for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The New England Journal of Medicine, among other publications. Groopman, a staff writer for The New Yorker, is the author of four books, including the New York Times bestseller How Doctors Think.

About the Evening… Tuesday, October 11 at 7:30 with the New Center for Arts and Culture

Husband-and-wife doctors Jerome Groopman and Pamela Hartzband discuss how character and beliefs shape our medical choices. They also talk about how their own personalities and values have affected their medical decisions. Their conversation will be moderated by Joyce Kulhawik, a fixture on the Boston cultural scene since 1978 and a three-time cancer survivor.
